With the participation of Districts 15-02, 15-03 and 15-04, the National Institute of Physical Education (INEFI) announced this Wednesday at a press conference the First Recreational Festival “School Christmas 2022”, which brings together some 1,500 students .
The contest, which will be launched this Friday, December 2, will be held by order of the Ministry of Education (MINERD) and its incumbent, Ángel Hernández, who is interested in promoting school sports jointly with INEFI.
The executive director of INEFI, Alberto Rodríguez, leading the act, exclaimed that his mission is to implement and promote family unity and school sports.
“This is the desire of both President Luis Abinader and the Minister of Education, Ángel Hernández, that our students feel that we are supporting them, so we are not going to spare any efforts so that schools are equipped with what is necessary,” he said. Rodriguez.
He stated that the central government is offering support and guidance so that school events and sports activities are a priority.
“This is an event to develop physical education and school sports. Students are the raw material and that is why they can count on the helping hand of INEFI so that they can develop"held.
In a brief message, Rodríguez expressed: "I must tell young people that from INEFI we want them in sports and not in the streets".
The festival will last three weekends and there will be competition in four disciplines: chess, athletics, basketball and volleyball, at the First Cycle of Primary and First Cycle of Secondary levels.
The parties
The Sacred Heart of Jesus Salesian School (District 15-02), Villa Juana, will be played on December 2, 3 and 4, while the participating schools are: Sacred Heart of Jesus School, María Auxiliadora Oratory, Juan Pablo High School Duarte, Domingo Savio School, Mauricio Báez Study Center and Santo Cura de Ars.
On his side, at the Unión Panamericana High School (District 15-03), Miraflores, it will be played on December 9, 10 and 11, while the participating schools are: Unión Panamericana, Nuestra Señora del Carmen, San Pío X, Madre Teresa of Calcutta, Paula Montal and Saint Dominic Savio/ Bartholomew Veght
The Cristo Rey Parish School (District 15-04) will also play on those dates and the participating schools are: Cristo Rey Parish, María Fania Encarnación, Jesús Maestro, Peña Gómez School, Mi Segundo Hogar and María del Carmen Pérez.
