India’s satellite mission failed

India's satellite mission failed

India’s satellite mission has failed and the Chairman of Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has admitted this failure.

According to foreign media, India’s satellite mission has failed. Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) Chairman Dr S Somnath has said that the mission of the country’s first Next Generation Small Satellite Launch Vehicle (SSLV-D1) has failed.

Dr. Somnath said that both the satellites EOS-02 and Azadi Sat launched with the help of this launch vehicle came down after being placed in the wrong orbit and are now useless. SSLVD1 failed to deliver the satellites into the correct orbit after performing brilliantly and performing normally in all three phases.

Chairman ISRO further said that a team of experts will find out the reasons for its failure in the coming days. ISRO will soon launch SSLV-D2 after necessary improvements.
