Indian exports crossed the $750 billion mark

New Delhi: Indian exports cross $750 billion mark, Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal said that Indian exports will cross $760 billion.

According to Indian media, the Indian Minister of Commerce and Industry, Piyush Goyal, while addressing an event, said that by the end of the fiscal year 2022-23, the country’s exports of goods and services may exceed 760 billion dollars.

He said, “In the financial year 2021-22, the country’s total exports were 676 billion dollars, while the figure was 500 billion dollars a year ago. India’s performance in global trade has proved the critics wrong.”

According to India’s commerce ministry, merchandise exports rose 7.5 percent to $405.94 billion during April-February, while services exports rose 30.4 percent to $296.94 billion during the period under review.

Import of tea decreased

Piyush Goyal said that at a time when the world is facing recession, high inflation and high interest rates, the Indian economy is doing well.
