Changes in Team India Squad for India vs Zimbabwe T20 International Series

The Indian cricket team has left for Harare to play the T20 international series against Zimbabwe, with the first match scheduled for July 6. In a sudden development, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has made changes to the team’s squad.

Changes in the Indian Team for the First Two T20 Matches

The squad for the five-match series between India and Zimbabwe was announced earlier, with Shubman Gill as captain. However, due to a situation arising from the team’s presence in Barbados, the squad has been revised. BCCI Secretary Jai Shah has confirmed that Sai Sudarshan, Jitesh Sharma, and Harshit Rana have been added to the teams for the first two T20 International matches. They will replace Sanju Samson, Shivam Dubey, and Yashasvi Jaiswal.

The Newly Selected Players Will Leave Soon

The Indian team has left for the series, with captain Shubman Gill not included in the team that has departed. It is reported that Gill is currently in the US and will join the team directly. VVS Laxman will coach the team, as Rahul Dravid’s tenure has ended and the BCCI has not yet announced the name of the new head coach. The newly selected players are expected to leave for Harare soon, with the first match approaching.
