IND vs. ZIM: The BCCI has included Bengal all-rounder Shahbaz Ahmed in the Indian squad for the three-match ODI series against Zimbabwe. Shahbaz has been included in the squad in place of Washington Sundar who was injured from the Indian team. This was confirmed by BCCI issuing a media advisory on Tuesday 16th August. The ODI series between India and Zimbabwe starts on August 18. Washington Sundar was injured while playing for Lancashire during the Royal London One Day Cup on August 9. While he was fielding, Sundar had injured his left hand. The presence of Shahbaz, who came to replace Sundar, has given more strength to the Indian team.

Shahbaz Ahmed, a 27-year-old all-rounder, has played a total of 26 List A matches so far. In which he has scored 662 runs at an average of 47.28. He has been playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore for the last 2 IPL seasons.
