But the player who made India win was Axar Patel. Axar batted at number seven and hit the shots. He completely ignored the mounting pressure on the team as he hit with great style. Shreyas and Samson hit half a century
Shreyas Iyer took the innings forward after Dhawan’s early dismissal. Although two important wickets fell out of the other end after he reached the crease, he kept the pulse in total control. Iyer scored 63 runs on 71 balls in this match, scoring his second consecutive half-century. He shared 99 runs from 94 balls with Sanju Samson. Samson also proved his usefulness by hitting half a century in this important game. Samson scored 54 runs on 51 balls.
It was the third highest ODI win in the West Indies chase, which Axar pulled off in style with a six with two balls to spare.
