The India team ended their tour with a tight fight against South Africa at the ODI in Cape Town. The last ODI of the series, the Indian team lost by only 4 races and the host country won all three matches and made a spectacular sweep (IND vs SA Series). However, for a happy ending, the Cape Town hotel staff have definitely delivered a loving message to the Indian players during the farewell.
Precisely, the staff members of the hotel where the Indian team was staying thanked the visiting team with a local dance and said goodbye to them. Deepak Chahar, who played a brilliant Cape Town ODI entry for India, shared the video of his dance on his Instagram story. Along with the story, the Indian player also thanked him.
We reported that Chahar had almost reached Team India’s threshold of victory in the last ODI, but was unable to finish the match and lost his wicket by 54 runs. This all-rounder was included in the team only in the last match, in which he made a significant contribution to bowling by taking two wickets along with the bat. After this spectacular performance, Deepak Chahar’s fiancee Jaya Bhardwaj made a post for him on Instagram. In this post, Jaya has mentioned the hard work behind the success of the player. With that he said that he is proud of Deepak.
In this tour, Team India played three Tests and one-day series of as many matches. After winning the first match of the Test series, India did not have any success. After losing the Test series 2-1 and the ODI series 3-0, India had to return home empty-handed.
The Indian team will host the West Indies (IND vs WI) in their next series. A three-match ODI series and a three-match T20 series will be played on this tour. The tour will kick off with the first ODI match to be held on February 6 at the Ahmedabad Stadium. All the matches of the ODI series will be played in Ahmedabad, while all the matches of the T20 series will be played at the Eden Gardens Stadium in Kolkata.
