IND vs NZ: New Zealand has prepared a special strategy for the Kanpur Test, revealed the coach

New Zealand cricket team coach Gary Stead has said he can include three specialized spinners in the game XI if conditions call for it in the first test against India that starts in Kanpur on Thursday. However, Stead believes that the two-Test series against India will not have the kind of pitch that England got against Virat Kohli’s team in Ahmedabad.

“You have to find out the reason why teams come here often but don’t win. It shows how big the challenge is here,” Stead told a news conference here.

Stead indicated that Mumbai-born left-arm spinner Aijaz Patel is almost certain to play in the series’ Test Match. “Our traditional way of playing with four fast pitchers and a spinning middle may not be successful here. You can also see three players playing in this game. The matter will be decided after surveying the field,” he said.

Stead said the basic principles of test cricket will remain the same, but the focus will have to change depending on the circumstances. He said: “If I speak from my team’s point of view, then we have to change the way we play, but it will also be necessary to stick to the principles of test cricket. We will try to remain competitive for a long time.”

When asked if the pitches were like during India’s last home test against England, will you speak to the ground crew about it? He said that he does not think it is necessary to do something like this, because at that time many test matches were going to be played in the same place.

He continued: “Look, it was certainly challenging conditions, but this time the difference is that we have to play test matches in two different locations. England had to play two test matches on the same field. Know that the conditions will be very difficult.” . Different for us in both fields, because in Kanpur the court is black earth while in Mumbai it is red earth.
