Chennai: In the Indian state of Tamil Nadu, a bus driver trampled a cyclist, injuring a woman, her husband and their two children.

According to Indian media reports, the woman injured in the accident was identified as Sangeeta, who earns her living by working at home.

The woman was returning home from work on a bicycle with her husband and two children when she was run over by a speeding bus driver.

The incident happened on Monday night on a 100-foot-wide road in Velchery, in which a 37-year-old woman was seriously injured and her two children and husband suffered minor injuries.

According to police officials, Sangeeta was trying to get to the other side of the road on a bicycle when the driver spun around the bus. Moved.

Police took the bus into custody and shifted it to the police station, then arrested the driver on Tuesday and registered a case under sections 279 and 304A of the Indian Penal Code.
