In Argentina, a crowd demonstrated in defense of the public university

A crowd filled the streets of Argentina this Tuesday in one march massively against the cuts in funding for the public university, in the largest demonstration yet against President Javier Milei’s adjustment policies.

In the country’s main cities, students, graduates and teachers of the 57 state national universities called for a march “in defense of free public university education” after the government decided to allocate the same budget they received in 2023 for this year extend, despite year-on-year inflation reaching 290% in March.
