Former prime minister Imran Khan’s conflict with Pakistan’s military is not stopping. Due to his arrest, widespread clashes, fire and vandalism are now taking place against PTI leaders and activists across the country. Most of the top PTI leaders were recently arrested on charges of violence. After being released, many announced their resignation from the party. Many middle-ranking leaders have also left the party. However, they claim that they are leaving voluntarily. Many of them cited family and health problems as reasons.
Imran said he was being forced to resign under pressure from leaders to weaken him and break up his party. His party is not involved in violence.
However, Imran said that his party’s popularity is increasing because of this campaign, and he will win whenever the elections are held.
National elections are scheduled to be held in Pakistan by November. According to various polls, Imran is the most popular leader of the country.
Meanwhile, the country’s Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah said on Friday that he spoke about the talks because of the pressure on Imran’s party and supporters as he faces trial in a military court. The minister said that after the judgment of the military court, the accused can appeal to the High Court and later to the Supreme Court.
