This week, the Canadian Ministry of Home Affairs issued a NOC related to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, which added 16 new occupations to the list of occupations eligible and required for express entry.

What is the Express Entry Program?
The Express Entry Program is the most prominent immigration pathway for foreign skilled workers. It is an application management system that works with three economic immigration programs to expedite application processing.

The Express Entry program uses a points-based, comprehensive ranking system to automatically rank candidate profiles in which the applicant will be ranked against all other candidates after checking their profile.
Once the candidate meets the required criteria, a formal letter of invitation (ITA) is sent to the candidate to apply for permanent residence at the next stage.
Once a candidate receives the ITA, he/she has 60 days to send the final application to IRCC.
