BCCI Secretary Jay Shah said that the window for IPL was received from ICC. In reality, IPL will get a two and a half month window from the ICC. Earlier there was an auction for the media rights to IPL. Star Sports Network won the television rights, while Reliance Voio got the digital rights. After the huge amount in the auction for IPL media rights, BCCI secretary Jay Shah has made a big statement. He said that this is the biggest and most popular league in the world. So he was not surprised by the huge amount up for auction for the IPL media rights.

BCCI secretary Jay Shah said that the IPL is the biggest league in the world. He also said that it is popular all over the world. He said that IPL has played an important role in resetting the cricket environment during the Corona period. On IPL media rights, Jay Shah said that in the year 2017, the number of people who watched digital broadcasting was 560 million. But after only 5 years in 2022, this number increased to 665 million. In such a situation, it would not be wrong to say that the digital number will increase in the coming times.

It should be noted that the television and digital transmission rights have been delivered to different companies. Star Sports has won IPL TV and Viacom18 has won the digital rights. On the other hand, Viacom18 Special Category Rights and Viacom18 and Times Internet have bought foreign media rights.
