IPL Season 15 will now end soon. The winner of IPL 2022 will be announced on May 29. Before the final match, the International Cricket Council has given a big statement about the IPL. ICC President Greg Barclay said on Friday that if the duration of the organization of T20 leagues like IPL increases, then the organization of bilateral series between international teams may be reduced. With the arrival of two new teams in the 2022 IPL, 74 games were played in the league, while in 2021 their number was only 60.

Greg Barclay told PTI: ‘National tournaments like IPL are under the jurisdiction of the member countries. He can execute it according to his wish. But due to their high number and long duration, bilateral matches between international teams will decrease. We know that there are only 365 days in a year.

He said: ‘I couldn’t travel for two years because of Corona and I couldn’t come to this league. It’s great to be back in India and this is my first trip to IPL. I love IPL and it’s a great event. I think India and BCCI have done something different with cricket. It is a competition that is a source of pride to watch and be a part of.

He said that, after the publication of the IPL broadcasting rights by BCCI, ICC will launch a tender for the broadcasting rights for the 2024-2031 season. “I am very excited that there is a lot of interest in showing media rights. I think there are some partners who will be able to work with the ICC and will be able to play a positive role in the development of cricket.
