Huesca breaks his jinx at home seven months later

Seven months later, Sociedad Deportiva Huesca broke their jinx at home and beat Lugo thanks to two goals in two minutes -the first from Javi Martínez and the second from Obeng- at the start of the second half, in the farewell to Anxo Carro of the Second Division. Ziganda’s team had not won away from El Alcoraz since October 12, 2022 (0-1 in Oviedo), but they did not want to miss the opportunity to end that streak against an opponent who does not know what it is to win in the entire second round, which certified its relegation a month ago and could only shorten the gap twenty minutes from the end through Sebas Moyano.

The first part was white glove. There was a kind of non-aggression pact and Andrés Fernández, Huesca’s savior so many times, only had to use a header from Juanpe to the middle, to the center of Sebas Moyano.

However, the second half was already another very different story. Huesca came out of the break like a rocket and Javi Martínez opened the scoring in the 48th minute with a cross shot from outside the area; two minutes later it was Obeng who slipped into the local area with authority and beat Sequeira with a left-footed shot.

The 0-2 spurred on Lugo, but their reaction fell short and they only managed to beat Andrés Fernández once with an accurate header from Sebas Moyano, totally unmarked, from a lateral free kick in the 73rd minute.
