The team that wins the 2021-23 title will receive Rs 13 crore as prize money. The team that won the title this time will get around Rs 1 crore 29 lakhs more than the previous winning team. At the same time, Rs 6.5 crore will be awarded to the runner-up. Excluding the winner and runner-up, South Africa will receive Rs 3.5 crore, England Rs 2.8 crore, Sri Lanka Rs 1.6 crore, while New Zealand, Pakistan, the West Indies and Bangladesh will receive 82- 82 crores as prize money.

The first cycle World Test Championship final was held in 2021 between India and New Zealand. The New Zealand team emerged victorious in this title match.
