Horford scores 21 with 6 rebounds and 9 assists in a loss

Donovan Mitchell had 34 points and six assists as the Utah Jazz defeated the Boston Celtics 137-130 on Friday night.

Mike Conley contributed 29 points and seven assists for the Jazz. Rudy Gobert finished with 18 points and 12 boards. Utah hit 27 3-pointers, his highest number of the season, and shot 53% from long range.

Jayson Tatum was Boston’s best offense with 37 points. Dennis Schroder added 26 and Al Horford had 21 points, nine assists and 6 boards in 34 minutes of play.

Robert Williams III scored with three straight possessions in a 9-0 offense that put Boston ahead 113-109 from the middle of the fourth quarter.

Utah responded by scoring with seven straight possessions and went up 127-120 with 1:57 left.

Mitchel hit three consecutive pitches, including a triple for the lead.

Heat 113, Pacers 104

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) – Kyle Lowry had his best record of the season with 26 points, including six triples, and the Miami Heat beat the Indiana Pacers 113-104 on Friday night despite lacking a full roster.

The Heat did not have four regular players, including leading scorer Jimmy Butler, but they made up for it by hitting 16 of 34 3-pointers, compared to 9 of 36 for the Pacers.

Lowry was 6 of 9 behind the arc, 9 of 16 overall. The six-time All-Star point guard also had nine assists.

Heat forward Duncan Robinson posted his best record of the season with 24 points including four 3-pointers. Tyler Herro had 18 points including three triples.

For the Pacers, Chris Duarte played 37 minutes and finished with 15 points, four rebounds and one assist.

Nets 110, Timberwolves 105

NEW YORK (AP) – Kevin Durant had 30 points, including a decisive jump shot with 11 seconds remaining, and the Brooklyn Nets beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 110-105 on Friday night.

Durant made 12 of 13 free throws and Patty Mills had 23 points for the Nets, who won for the fifth time in six games and expanded to 16-6, the best in the Eastern Conference.

James Harden finished with 20 points, 9 assists and 7 boards. LaMarcus Aldridge had 13 points.

Nets experimental D’Angelo Russell dispatched with 21 points for the Timberwolves, who have three losses in five games.

Minnesota’s Naz Reid and Anthony Edwards finished with 19 points each, and Malik Beasley with 18.

For the Timberwolves, Argentine Leandro Bolmaro saw action for 25 minutes, in which he achieved 4 points, five boards and 2 assists. Karl-Anthony Towns was not in action due to a sore back.
