Honor has just unveiled its latest smartphone, the Power series, which boasts an impressive 8,000 mAh battery. This massive battery is comparable to the iPad Air (2025)’s 7,606 mAh battery. The phone’s battery uses silicon technology, allowing for a high energy density of 821 Wh/L. This means you can watch videos for up to 25 hours, stream TikTok videos for 23 hours, or play games for 14 hours on a single charge.
Battery Life and Charging
The Honor Power’s battery life is impressive, but the charging speed is a bit slow at 66 W. Honor claims that just a 2% charge is enough for a one-hour call. This might not be a major issue, but it’s worth noting.
Performance and Connectivity
The phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset, which is also used in the Honor 100, 200, and 300. It comes with up to 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. The Honor Power also features a custom C1+ chip for improved connectivity, supporting BeiDou satellite messaging and triple-frequency BeiDou and dual-frequency GPS for more accurate positioning. Other connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.3, and NFC.
Display and Cameras
The phone has a 6.78-inch OLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate, 10-bit color, and a peak brightness of 4,000 nits. The display also features PWM Dimming at 3,840 Hz to reduce eye strain. The camera setup includes a 50 MP primary sensor with OIS, a 5 MP ultrawide lens, and a 16 MP front camera. The phone can record 4K video and has features like AI Rain Touch for better touchscreen performance in wet conditions.
Design and Durability
The Honor Power has a sleek design, measuring just 8 mm thick despite its large battery. It also features a 360-degree water-resistant design.
The Honor Power will be available in China on April 18, 2025, in three colors: Snow White, Desert Gold, and Phantom Night Black. The pricing is as follows:
- 8/256 GB: 1,999 CNY
- 12/256 GB: 2,199 CNY
- 12/512 GB: 2,499 CNY
