A member of the Hindu extremist organization RSS in the Indian state of Karnataka has been prosecuted for posting objectionable social media posts against Muslim women.
According to local media reports, women in Raichur district registered a massive protest in front of the police station against the inappropriate social media post, forcing the police to take action.
The protestors gave the police a 24-hour ultimatum to arrest the Hindu extremist who posted the post, but the arrest of the accused was made within hours.
The accused, identified as Raju Tambak, hurt the sentiments of Muslim women by posting on social media.
According to the police, the accused has been arrested while the case is being investigated.
