Highlights development in the expansion system of electrical transmission networks and the challenge of renewable energies

The administrator of the Dominican Electric Transmission Company (ETED), engineer Martín Robles Morillo, highlighted on Thursday the development of the expansion of electric transmission networks and the challenge faced by the high penetration of renewable energies.

After participating in the Annual Meeting of Senior Executives and CECACIER 2023 Assembly, which brings together representatives of the Central American and Caribbean electricity sector, the head of ETED explained that, in addition to expanding the system’s capacity, the company has a telecommunications network by robust fiber optics.

“We are working for a new stage of growth and contribution to national development, responding to the country’s electricity transmission needs, with a reliable and safe system that guarantees quality management at all times,” said Robles Morillo.

. He indicated that "Thanks to the excellent government management of President Luis Abinader, the country enjoys a climate of economic, social and political stability, a cornerstone for the entry of investments that it exhibits today. This is the case of the strong incursion of renewable energies".

The engineer Robles Morillo was in charge of the magisterial talk: "Operation of the SENI and expansion of the transmission network: Challenges faced with the high penetration of renewable energies”.

The international act will take place until this Friday the 27th, at the Dreams Dominicus hotel, Bayahibe, La Romana.

CECACIER is a regional body that integrates companies and institutions from the electricity sector of Central America and the Caribbean to create strategic alliances and synergies on issues of energy development in the region.
