Jeddah: There was heavy rain in the city of Jeddah in Saudi Arabia, after which water accumulated on the roads, schools were closed due to heavy rain and strong winds.

According to Arab media, heavy rains also fell in the areas of Najran, Jazan, Asir and Al Bahah, some parts of Makkah and coastal areas including Jeddah, Al Layth and Qanfada.
Schools and universities in Jeddah will remain closed on Thursday due to the expected weather conditions, officials announced. The Jeddah Education Directorate announced the suspension of classes in all schools in Jeddah, Rabi and Khalees on Thursday.
