Heaney dominates the Orioles, Rangers with the best record in their history after 51 games

Andrew Heaney pitched seven innings of four-hit ball, Marcus Semien extended his hitting streak to 16 games with a key two-run single, and the Texas Rangers beat the Baltimore Orioles 5-3 on Saturday.

Robbie Grossman and Jonah Heim drove in runs on singles for the Rangers, who have won 10 of 13. Their 33-18 record is the best in franchise history after 51 games.

Now, Texas has passed Baltimore (33-19) as the second-best team in the majors, behind only Tampa Bay.

After outscoring the Orioles 17-15 in the first two games of this three-game series, Texas is guaranteed to win its fifth consecutive series win in an alien park. He had not had a similar streak since 2016.

Austin Hays homered for the Orioles, who disappointed a crowd of 37,939 with a shaky at-bat for the second straight game.

Heaney (4-3) extended an impressive streak that began when he allowed seven runs in his first start of the season, hosting Baltimore. The lefty has since gone 4-2 with a 2.75 ERA in his last nine starts.

He outplayed Dean Kremer (5-2), who allowed three runs and five hits in 6 1/3 innings.

For the Rangers, Cuban Adolis Garcia 3-1 with a run scored. Dominican Leody Taveras 4-2 with a run scored.

For the Orioles, the Mexican Ramón Urías 4-1 with an RBI. The Dominican Jorge Mateo of 3-1.
