Mumbai Indians, captained by Hardik Pandya, lost the first match of IPL 2024 against Gujarat Titans by 6 runs at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Some such scenes were seen during the match and one would also say that Hardik Pandya started playing with Rohit Sharma as soon as he became captain of Mumbai. A few videos during the match are going viral on social media in which Hardik can be seen running across the field towards former Mumbai captain Rohit Sharma to set him up.
In the video, first Rohit Sharma can be seen running to the second field position. Rohit reaches his position but Hardik then asks him to change the fielding position and the former Mumbai captain then switches to another position. First Rohit Sharma goes and then after receiving a signal from Hardik, Rohit runs to the fielding position.
In another video, it can be seen that Hardik signals Rohit Sharma to change the fielding position and Rohit Sharma looks behind him and then realizes that Hardik is asking him to change the position and then the killer runs away. Let us tell you that Gujarat Titans under the captaincy of Shubman Gill won the match at Ahmedabad Stadium by 6 runs. The competition was very close. After losing the toss, Gujarat came to bat first and put 168/6 runs on the board in 20 overs. Sai Sudarshan played the most innings for the team with 45 innings (39 balls), including three fours and a six. Then the Mumbai team, chasing the target, could only score 162/9 runs in 20 overs.
