Riyadh: Three people have been arrested in Saudi Arabia for assaulting two Saudi women in a public place and threatening them with weapons.
According to the Saudi website, the video of the men threatening and beating two Saudi girls at gunpoint in the Saudi capital Riyadh is going viral on social media.
In the viral video, it can be seen that women are gathered in front of a public institution.
Riyadh police say three people involved in the attack on Saudi girls have been arrested.
A Riyadh police spokesman said the girls had lodged a complaint that they had been attacked by two women, while a man had threatened them with a weapon and the three had fled.
According to the spokesman, the three persons have been arrested, two of them are Saudi women and one is a man. The interrogation process against the three has been completed.
Social media users have expressed outrage over the incident.
