Halls reserved for disabled persons and elderly women in Masjid Haram

In Masjid Haram, several halls have been allocated for disabled persons and elderly women.

The administration says that the women’s aid agency for social, voluntary and humanitarian services will prepare and provide various people for service in these halls and places of prayer.

A number of facilities are provided in these halls to ensure the comfort of all pilgrims visiting Masjid Haram and to provide them with every facility in offering their prayers.

The administration has further divided these halls into different categories. There is a separate section for disabled people. Rear section reserved for wheelchair users.

A white cane will be provided for the blind and there will be a separate section for them. Braille copies of the Holy Quran both paper and electronic will be provided for the blind. In addition, there are electronic versions with pens with flexible holders.

The entry and exit of disabled persons in Masjid Haram is also regulated. Women and their families are given opportunities to speak. It is ensured that there are no conflicts in these halls.

Quranic circles, religious lessons and Friday sermons are translated into sign language while bar codes for prayers are also created. Booklets containing fatwas, sunnahs and dhikr are provided to guide people.
