Guyana school dormitory fire, 20 dead

At least 20 people have been killed in a fire at a school dormitory in the South American country of Guyana. Referring to this accident as a major disaster, the country’s President Irfan Ali said on Sunday night that it is terrible. This incident is painful.

According to a government statement, the accident occurred at Mahdia Secondary School in central Guyana. At least 20 people died in the fire. Several people were injured. News – NDTV.

President Irfan Ali said that two major hospitals in the capital Georgetown have been ordered to take necessary measures.

Private and military aircraft have been dispatched to Mahdia, about 200 kilometers south of Georgetown.
