Greed blinds, citizens lose crores of rupees

The growing popularity of cryptocurrency around the world has dazzled the wealthy and they want to become a millionaire without any hassle. Due to not being fully aware of this, people lose their earnings by falling into the trap of fraudsters.

According to Indian media, law enforcement agencies have arrested a man accused of swindling crores of rupees from the public in the name of fake cryptocurrency ‘Morse Coin’, which encouraged people to invest in cryptocurrency and in the state of Kerala. More than 900 investors had fled with more than Rs 1200 crore by luring profits on cryptocurrency.

The accused is one of the directors of Stock Global Brokers Pvt. Ltd. The company, through the Ponzai scheme, encouraged people to invest in a fictitious cryptocurrency at a rate of 3.5 per cent per day, on which a large number of people invested.

A few days earlier, there were reports of fraud in the name of cryptocurrency in Kenya, a backward country in Africa. Khatir had lost money.
