Grávalos recovers from the second operation of his brain tumor

Arturo Grávalos from Rioja has issued a statement through his team, Eolo-Kometa, in which he reports that on Wednesday, May 11, he underwent a second intervention surgery to treat the brain tumor that was detected in 2021 and for which he was already operated on in November.

In the statement he explains that he was operated on by the neurosurgeon Clara del Río-Pérez at the Lozano Blesa Hospital in Zaragoza and that he is already in the room. “I want to inform you that my recovery is very good and that I hope to return to training soon, like I was already doing these months ago,” he says.

“The reason why this new surgical intervention has not been made public before has been, simply, to maintain the tranquility that both my family and I needed. to face this new stage; a phase that, with your care and with the support of my team, I am sure I will win”, he explains.

The cyclist from Cervera del Río Alhama and based in the Aragonese capital thanks “everyone, from the bottom of my heart, for the numerous expressions of affection and support that I have received since this fight began for me”.

“Now you will forgive me for not being able to answer you one by one as you deserve, but for the moment I must continue thinking only about recovering”, he concludes.

Grávalos (1998) experienced his first campaign in professional cycling in 2021 in which he competed for fourteen days and took part in his last race in August, the Getxo Circuit, in which he finished in 48th place.
