Granollers and Ademar tie in a clash of attacks

Fraikin BM Granollers added a valuable draw this Saturday against Abanca Ademar León (38-38) in a match of authentic madness between two teams that had options to win, but in which finally, after a few hectic final minutes, they signed The tables. With the lesson learned from the last two games, Antonio Rama’s team entered the game much better. He set an intense rhythm in defense thus causing several losses for Ademar and in attack he played with great patience and sense (5-2, min 5).

Before the 6th minute was up, Manolo Cadenas decided to call his team to order. Saeid’s interventions, some of great merit, prevented the game from breaking up for the local side, which was taking advantage of the numerous concessions from the visitors (7-3, min 10). But the team from León came out alive from a bad start and little by little it was equalizing the match. The people from Valles lost control of the game, which allowed Cadenas’ team to get their first advantage in the 22nd minute (12-13). After a few minutes of visitor dominance, Torriani put, on the horn, the tie at 17 at halftime.

At the restart the game start script was repeated. Granollers, with the clearest ideas, regained control of the match, which made Manolo Cadenas stop the match (21-18, min 34). Ademar relied on the Virbauskas brothers, very powerful one on one, to rejoin the game (25-24, min 41). Both teams entered the final minutes tied at 30, after a few minutes of exchanging goals, although Granollers always took the initiative.

Two consecutive recoveries allowed Antonio Rama’s men to give a new start to break the game (34-31, min 52). However, Ademar did not take long to reply and with a 0-4 run they regained the lead with just over four minutes to go (34-35). With a tie at 37, Amigó recovered the ball and Granollers, with a ‘fly’ for Antonio García (15 goals in the match) he took the lead. Immediately afterwards, the captain was sent off and Castro equalized from seven meters. After Rama’s timeout, and with thirteen seconds to play, Granollers could not break the final tie at 38.
