Magic Eraser comes to everyone through Google One
There is, however, a catch in this news that must be safeguarded in the name of transparency. This tool will only be available to subscribers of one of the Google One plans.
Google One is a subscription plan from the American company that combines several services in a single plan. Their subscription plans have cloud storage options ranging from 100GB up to 30TB.
This means that if you want to enjoy the potential of Magic Eraser on your Android or iPhone, you will have to pay for it. If you already have a Google One subscription, this tool comes to you for free.
It is also important to note that the benefits of Magic Eraser will be accessible through the Google Photos app for Android and iOS. If you try to use its web version, you will not be able to use this editing tool.
Extending this functionality to more smartphones is unprecedented by Google. The North American usually extends some of its tools to all users after a period of exclusivity for Pixel models, but its exclusivity for Google One is unprecedented.
