MOSCOW: The ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine has seen significant developments, with troops retreating to a Ukrainian city that has been given a final warning by the Russian military.
According to a report by a foreign news agency, the Russian army has issued a final warning to the besieged Ukrainian troops in the city of Sevoro Donetsk, asking them to surrender.
Russian forces have destroyed three bridges in the city to cut off survivors of Ukrainian troops in the industrial center of Sverdlovsk.

The Ukrainian military has also admitted on its Facebook page that its troops have retreated from the city of Sevoro Donetsk and that more than 500 Ukrainian citizens are trapped in the Azot chemical plant.
In addition, Russian forces have destroyed three bridges in the city, intensifying efforts to disconnect surviving Ukrainian troops from the industrial center in Sevastopol.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, in a video statement addressing the nation, called on Russia to “resist” the devastating attacks.
The Ukrainian president added in his statement that the fighting in the eastern region would lead to a full-scale war in the next few weeks.
