Samsung has just launched the deployment of the November 2021 Android security patch on its smartphones. Unsurprisingly, the first phones to get the update are the Galaxy S21, S21 +, and S21 Ultra. The manufacturer has taken a few days ahead of its calendar. We explain how to install the patch as soon as possible on your device.
According to several testimonials that have appeared on the web, and in particular on Reddit, Samsung is already offering the November 2021 Android security patch on the Galaxy S21 in Germany. The firmware is titled G991BXXS3AUJ7 for the Galaxy S21, G996BXXS3AUJ7 for the S21 + and G998BXXS3AUJ7 for the S21 Ultra. It is based on Android 11 and weighs 222MB.
Once again, Samsung is ahead of its schedule and is establishing itself as the most responsive Android builder on the market. Samsung even managed to deploy the patch before Google does not offer it on the pixels. Importantly, the brand pushed the patch before the Mountain View giant added the fixes included in the patch to its monthly security bulletin.

How to install the November 2021 patch on the Galaxy S21?
The update is currently being rolled out only in Germany. In view of the habits of the smartphone leader, we expect the November 2021 update to land on the S21s in France in the coming daysTo check if the firmware is already available on your Galaxy S21, just follow the steps below:
- Go to the menu Settings
- Press on About the device
- Select now Software update
- If available, choose Start the update and follow the instructions provided by your Galaxy S21
According to testimonies, the update focuses mainly on the vulnerability correction. Samsung is however announcing general system stability improvements and built-in applications by default.
