Gaikwad’s big talk on Dhoni! Viral reaction after being named captain

The Chennai Super Kings have made a major change in the captain’s form just hours before the start of IPL 2024. The team has replaced experienced captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni with young opening batsman Ruturaj Gaikwad. Many people are calling this a big step from Dhoni while others are saying that this is a sign that this is Dhoni’s last IPL. But now after becoming captain, Ruturaj Gaikwad’s first reaction to Dhoni went viral.

In his first reaction after being appointed captain, Gaikwad spoke about his former captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni. On one hand, Gaikwad said that captaincy will be a big responsibility, but on the other hand, he said that he doesn’t have to do much.

Chennai Super Kings have released a video on social media in which Ruturaj Gaikwad reacts to his appointment as captain. In the video he is first asked: How does it feel to be the captain of Chennai?

In response, Gaikwad says, “Feels good. It’s obviously a privilege. I feel more than that. It’s a big responsibility but I’m very excited about the kind of team we have. Everyone has enough. I have experience, so I won’t have too much to do. Also, I have brother Mahi (MS Dhoni) in the team, brother Jaddu (Ravindra Jadeja) and brother Ajju (Ajinkya Rahane) who are great. The captain is there to guide me. There’s no need to think too much.”

We tell you that Chennai Super Kings won the title in the last season i.e. IPL 2023. Chennai became champions five times under Dhoni’s captaincy. But now Dhoni has taken on this responsibility and handed over the captaincy to Gaikwad.
