Frontier Airlines announces nonstop flights from Santo Domingo to Atlanta and Tampa

Ultra-low-cost airline Frontier Airlines will begin seasonal flights from Las Americas International Airport in Santo Domingo (SDQ) to Atlanta (ATL) and Tampa (TPA) in May 2023. Frontier also offers direct flights from Santo Domingo to Orlando (MCO) and San Juan, Puerto Rico (SJU).

“We are very excited about the increase in flights to our network in Santo Domingo with this new flight to Atlanta,” said Daniel Shurz, Senior Vice President of Commercial, Frontier Airlines. “The Dominican community now has convenient and affordable options to visit the most popular cities in the United States and at the same time Atlanta has a huge base that represents an increase in visitors and a great economic impact for the Dominican Republic.”

“It is very gratifying to welcome this new Frontier Airlines route, increasing the options that travelers have to reach the Dominican Republic. This new service is a testament to the strength and great appeal of the Dominican Republic as a tourist destination among American travelers. I have personally visited the city of Atlanta on two occasions, since we are convinced that the potential to be exploited is almost similar to that of the current market. I appreciate this new commitment from Frontier, which will allow more visitors to choose the Dominican Republic as a vacation destination,” said David Collado Morales, Minister of Tourism of the Dominican Republic.

“We are pleased to welcome this new twice-weekly low-cost travel option to Atlanta at the Santo Domingo Airport, along with Frontier Airlines. In addition to the new route to Tampa that will start in May 2023, Atlanta will be the fourth route operated by Frontier Airlines in Santo Domingo; demonstrating the dynamism and showing its confidence in this market. Consumers can now take advantage of "low fees done right" from Frontier to visit the many exciting attractions and activities Atlanta has to offer; and it will also allow you to benefit from the large connection network of the Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, the third largest “megahub” in the world for the connectivity of international flights” said Fabien Gourdon, Chief Commercial Officer of Aerodom.
