Freddie Freeman and Gavin Lux homered to back up Julio Urias’ five strong innings and the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Milwaukee Brewers 4-0 on Monday night.
A day after the 12-game winning streak ended with a 4-0 loss to Kansas City, the Dodgers, the best team in Major League Baseball, won again. They are 20-4 since the All-Star Game.
Freeman hit a solo shot in the first inning off Freddy Peralta (4-3) and Lux added a two-run shot off Hoby Milner in the sixth.
Urías (13-6) got out of trouble in the first three innings. He finished with six strikeouts, allowing four hits and two walks. He improved to 10-0 with a 1.99 ERA in 11 starts.
The Mexican has a 1.87 ERA since the All-Star Game, the lowest in major league history for any pitcher with at least 180 pitches since the Summer Classic.
For the Brewers, Dominican Willy Adames 4-1. The Mexican Luis Urías 3-0.
