Fans are angered by the third referee’s decision in match 56 of IPL 2022 being played between Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders at DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai. Actually, in the match against Kolkata, Rohit Sharma was not eliminated by the field referee, but after KKR took DRS, the third referee declared him eliminated.
Chasing KKR’s goal of 166 runs, the Mumbai Indians suffered a major setback in the first over. Sheldon Jackson caught behind Rohit Sharma’s wicket of Tim Southee’s ball. There was a strong appeal, but the ground umpire didn’t let him out. Following this, KKR captain Shreyas Iyer took DRS. The third referee then called Rohit out. However, from one angle it looks like Rohit wasn’t out. After this, the fans called the arbitration fraud.
