Former wicketkeeper-batsman Shrivatsa Goswami has accused a league of match-fixing. He raised questions about the way some batsmen were out. Goswami retired from Indian cricket last year. He has played for many teams in the IPL.
Srivatsa Goswami, who was part of the 2008 Under-19 World Cup-winning team along with Kohli, on Thursday claimed that the manner in which some players were dismissed during the Bengal Cricket Association (CAB) first-class league match seemed to have fixed the game.
Goswami shared the video of the match between Mohammedan Sporting and Town Club on his Facebook page. He claimed that Mohammedan Sporting’s batsmen deliberately got out to help the city club win. Goswami wrote on social media that this was a Super Division game of Kolkata Club Cricket. What are the two big teams doing? Can somebody say something about it? After seeing this, I feel embarrassed. It breaks my heart. Club cricket is the heart and soul of Bengal. Please don’t waste it. I think this is “pre-determined” cricket.

Former Indian team manager and current CAB secretary Debabrata Das is associated with the city club. So was the Indian team’s administrative manager during the England tour in 2022. He was unavailable for comment, but CAB president Snehasish Ganguly said he had sought reports from the umpires and observers. He said that we have called a meeting of the tournament committee on March 2nd to consider the matter.
