The former director of the Republican Guard and former Cologne police chief, Rovert Yroa, was indicted this Wednesday Traffic internal weaponsreported the public prosecutor.
Third-tier Economic and Complex Crimes Prosecutor Gilberto Rodríguez secured the indictment against Yroa. The prosecution’s investigation revealed that Yroa provided a person with a weapon that was imported by the Interior Ministry for a specific purpose, explained the prosecution’s communications director, Javier Benech.
As a precautionary measure, mandatory reporting and a ban on leaving the country for a period of 60 days were introduced. Yroa’s defense appealed the first instance verdict and the case is being reviewed by an appeals court.
