Former Pak Cricketer Alerted: 'India Team Is Repeating 90s Pakistani Mistake'

Former Pakistan captain Rashid Latif considers the frequent change of captain in the Indian team wrong. He believes that by doing this, the Indian team is repeating the same mistake that Pakistan made in the 1990s. Latif has also said that the team’s management approach is only to change the captain, while he needs to eliminate many deficiencies in his equipment.

Rashid Latif says on his YouTube channel: ‘Recently the Indian team has made 7 backup captains. I am seeing this for the first time in the history of Indian cricket. In this year, Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Rishabh Pant, Hardik Pandya and Jasprit Bumrah captained India. They are repeating the exact same mistake that Pakistan made in the 1990s.

Let us tell you that in the Pakistan team from 1990 to 2000, that is, in 10 years, 7 captains were changed in the form of Wasim Akram, Salim Malik, Rameez Raja, Saeed Anwar, Amir Sohail, Rashid Latif and Moin Khan. However, despite changing so many captains, the Pakistan team did not achieve any special success. On the contrary, there were more reports of team differences.

Rashid Latif says: ‘Until now, the Indian team has not been able to find a perfect starter. Nor is his middle order stable. They just need a new captain in each series. Not even a single captain is consistently playing for them. KL Rahul is not fit, Rohit was also not fit a few days ago. Virat is mentally unfit. The management of the Indian team needs you to think more about this. They are changing captains too much. They need a captain like Sourav Ganguly, MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli.
