In his brief speech to send a clear message to his opponents, especially the Western world, Assad said a new world order was emerging where foreign interference would no longer be acceptable.

The Syrian leader earlier embraced the summit’s host country, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

Prince Mohammed expressed hope that the presence of President Assad in this summit will help to increase regional stability.
