The playoff battle at IPL 2022 has become interesting. So far, only the Gujarat Titans have secured a playoff spot. The teams from Mumbai and Chennai have been left out of the playoff race. The Kolkata team is in the 8th position in the points table after losing 7 matches out of 12 matches. He is behind every team involved in the playoff race. If Kolkata wants to make it to the playoffs, they will have to win their remaining two matches by a wide margin and will also have to rely on the results of other matches.
- KKR won their remaining two matches against SRH and LSG. KKR will have to win this match by a good margin so their net run rate can be better.
- RCB lose their next match against Gujarat Titans. In such a situation, RCB’s total wins this season will be capped at 7.
- Delhi Capitals must have lost at least one of their remaining two matches. These Delhi matches are yet to be held against Punjab Kings and Mumbai Indians.
- Punjab Kings should also lose at least one of their two remaining matches. Punjab is yet to face Delhi and Hyderabad.
- Sunrisers Hyderabad should lose at least one of their three remaining matches. That is, SRH loses today’s match against KKR in any case.
If the aforementioned equations are done, then the Kolkata team can make it to the playoffs along with Gujarat, Lucknow and Rajasthan.
