The Punta Cana-Macao Energy Consortium (CEPM) reported this afternoon that 60% of the circuits under its concession area were affected due to the inclemency of the winds and the rains of Hurricane Fiona.

In a statement, the company indicated that their teams and brigades are working on the ground to carry out the damage assessment caused by the phenomenon and restructure the necessary infrastructure to restore the electrical service as soon as possible.

“The preliminary assessment of damage caused by the phenomenon indicates that the hurricane has affected 60% of the circuits in our concession area. The areas of Verón and Friusa present the greatest criticality due to the high volume of clients”, explains the statement.

The company states that they work hand in hand with security forces to guarantee the well-being of all their clients, giving higher priority to the most vulnerable communities.

CEPM urged the community to avoid leaving their homes and follow all safety recommendations in case of disasters.

He pointed out that due to a technical failure of the Claro company service as a result of the passage of the hurricane, its call center is not operational at the moment, so they enabled an alternative telephone number to channel our clients’ calls.

“Until then, we invite you to contact us through our alternate channels,” CEPM explains, noting that its virtual office and contact channels are at your complete disposal to attend to any request via Whatsapp (829 423 0100), Virtual Office. com.do) and CEPM App.
