FBI raided Trump's Florida mansion

Former United States President Donald Trump denounced that members of the FBI, the federal investigative police, raided his mansion in Palm Beach, Florida, and forcibly opened a safe. Trump’s claim was not confirmed by the government or the FBI. If confirmed, it is an indication that the investigations surrounding the former president are coming to a head.

Using his own social network, Trump wrote that he was outraged that “I am cooperating and working with the relevant official bodies, so this surprise incursion is unnecessary and inappropriate.” For the former president, the only justification for the raid is to try to dirty his presidential campaign for 2024.

“Such an attack is only possible in broken, Third World countries,” Trump wrote.

“They even broke into my safe!” the former president was outraged. “What is the difference between this and Watergate, where agents raided the National Committee of the Democratic Party? Here it is the other way around, they are Democrats who break into the house of the 45th president of the United States.”

“These are dark times for our Nation if my beautiful home, Mar a Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, is under siege, occupied, and attacked by a group of FBI Agents,” Trump wrote. “No president of the United States has ever had anything like this done.”

official papers

The raid, according to sources cited by The New York Times, focuses on the possibility that Trump took papers from the White House. The complaint speaks of several boxes of official papers, several classified as state secrets, that the former president took and could be in his residence at the Mar a Lago country club.

In fact, Trump took several months to deliver fifteen boxes of papers to the National Archives, which had to threaten him with a criminal complaint. The former president also had a habit of tearing up papers that, in reality, had to go to that Archive.

But the former president did not tell on his social network what the FBI agents who entered his residence on Monday morning were looking for. He dedicated himself to victimizing himself, without explaining.

But the US media cited official sources to say that the feds were looking for those papers. These days, Justice Department officials began questioning Trump White House staff about his efforts to remain president when he lost the election. During the interrogations, the issue of missing papers was also mentioned.
