A fatal accident occurred on Wednesday, December 25, at noon, resulting in the death of a pedestrian who has not been identified. The incident took place on José Batlle y Ordóñez Avenue, near Ignacio Manuel Altamirano.
Circumstances of the Accident
According to eyewitnesses, the pedestrian was attempting to cross the avenue when two vehicles collided. A red Peugeot, traveling down the avenue, crashed into a white Suzuki, which was coming from the direction of the Police Hospital, located nearby. The impact caused the Peugeot to lose control and strike the pedestrian.

Witnesses reported that the Peugeot was traveling at a high speed and was unable to avoid the collision. Traces of the attempted dodge were visible on the ground. The driver of the Peugeot, while trying to avoid the other vehicle, inadvertently ran over the pedestrian.
