Looking at the torn clothes of the artists in the video, it seems that they too have been killed. The video also shows the Taliban cutting their hair. According to Afghan journalists, the incident took place in Zazi Aryob district of Paktika province.

Leading Afghan journalist Bilal Sarwari commented on the video and wrote on Twitter that Taliban fighters had taken the law into their own hands across the country.

Samaa Digital’s research revealed that the video is three years old. According to Zadran, a local Taliban commander in Paktia, the video is three to three and a half years old.

The Taliban leader says the man in the video with the weapon and black shawl is Allah Noor Toofan, who was martyred two years ago. “It’s impossible for a dead man to suddenly reappear in the video,” he said.

According to Zadran, the other man standing next to him was also martyred two and a half years ago. There was no immediate reaction to the incident.

It should be noted that the Taliban has not issued any formal notification regarding the ban on Tahal music. According to observers, the Afghan Taliban are currently in an interim setup and no Sharia law has yet been enacted, but the Taliban are following laws banning alcohol, arms trafficking and drugs because it is against the law. Beards and music bans are not part of the Taliban government’s official policy in Afghanistan.
