Several people have been killed in an explosion in a mosque in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan.
According to Afghan media, the explosion occurred in a mosque in the PD-17 area of northern Kabul when a large number of people were praying there.
Kabul Emergency Hospital has said in a statement that so far more than 30 injured have been brought, including some children.
There was no immediate word on the death toll, but the number of injured is said to be in the dozens.
News is circulating on social media that important leaders of the Taliban have also been targeted in the blast. On receiving the information, officials and rescue teams of Emirate of Islamia have reached for relief activities.
