Lyon, with his homework done; seven more, half
Only one team comes to this penultimate European round with a fully assured presence in the round of 16: Olympique de Lyon. The French dominate Group A with absolute resounding of a Europa League in which they already have 12 points, having won everything.
In this European competition, Eintracht Frankfurt and West Ham have the half way done: they have secured the second place. The German team leads Group D with 10 points, four more than Olympiacos and five more than Fenerbahce, who face each other today. The English team, meanwhile, leads Group H with 10 points. Behind, Dinamo Zagreb and Genk, also rivals today.
In the Conference League, no team is guaranteed a place in the round of 16. However, there are five sets with the second group place, at the very least, tied up. They are: Basel, Gent, LASK, Maccabi Tel-Aviv, Qarabag. On the other side of the coin, other seven already know that they will not be able to reach neither the first nor the second position. They are: Alashkert, CSKA of Sofia, HJK, Kairat, Lincoln, Mura, Omonoia.
Remember that only the top eight in the group qualify automatically for the round of 16, both in the Europa League and in the Conference League. Subsequently, additional rounds of play-offs to settle the other eighth square. In the Europa League, they will face the eight second group in the group and the third group in the UEFA champions league.
