England series may be Virat Kohli's last chance

The three-match T20 series between India and England will start from July 7. This series is being considered very important in view of the T20 World Cup to be held in Australia this year. It is also stated that this series is the last chance for former captain Virat Kohli to keep his place in the T20 team.

According to the report of the English newspaper Times of India, the selectors have decided to take a difficult decision on Virat Kohli. A BCCI official told Inside Sport: “Virat Kohli has made a significant contribution to Indian cricket. But because he doesn’t score runs, the team’s problems are increasing. The selectors select the players on the basis of form. I think that if Virat doesn’t score runs against England, the coaches will look at other options.

The T20 World Cup will take place in October and the coaches do not have much chance to take risks. The series against England is believed to be very important to Virat Kohli. However, Virat Kohli will not be part of the team in the first T20 and he may only have two more chances to prove himself.

The report claimed that the selectors did not select the team for the T20 series against the West Indies for this reason. The squad for the West Indies tour will be selected on the basis of their performance against England.

The India team has plenty of options to replace Virat Kohli in the T20 team. If Virat leaves the team, one of Suryakumar, Deepak Hooda, Sanju Samson or Shreyas Iyer can be seen playing at number three.
