Emmanuel Macron: French President Emmanuel Macron has praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA). He said that in Samarkand, PM Modi gave the right message to Russian President Putin that this is not the time for war. Macron supported PM Modi’s statement on Russia-Ukraine war and said that PM Modi had rightly said that this is not the time to take revenge on the West or oppose the West against the East. Macron recognized that no country can remain isolated on the issue of Ukraine war. It is time for everyone to face the challenges.
Today’s era is not of war: Modi

We should find solutions to problems – Modi
PM Modi told Putin- ‘Today the biggest concern facing the world, especially the developing countries, is food security, fuel security, fertilizers. We should find solutions to these problems and you have to consider it too. We will get a chance to talk on these issues. This was the first face-to-face meeting between the two leaders since the Ukraine conflict began in February.
Russia is aware of India’s concerns: Putin
Putin told Modi that he was aware of India’s concerns over the Ukraine conflict and that Russia would do everything possible to end it at the earliest. “I know about your position on the conflict in Ukraine,” Putin said in his opening remarks. I understand about your concerns. I know you share these concerns and we all want this to end at the earliest.’ The Russian president said Ukraine had refused to engage in the negotiation process and wanted to “militarily achieve its objectives on the battlefield”. Putin told Modi, ‘We will keep you informed of everything that happens there.’
