Putin told Modi that he was aware of India’s concerns over the Ukraine conflict and that Russia would do everything possible to end it at the earliest. “I know about your position on the conflict in Ukraine,” Putin said in his opening remarks. I know you share these concerns and we all want this to end at the earliest.’ The Russian president said Ukraine had refused to engage in the negotiation process and wanted to “militarily achieve its objectives on the battlefield”.
