A disturbing incident occurred in Paysandú, where an 80-year-old man intentionally crashed his van into a parked truck in front of his house. The neighbors reported that the man had been bothered by people using the shade in front of his home, which seemingly led to this extreme outburst.
The events unfolded on Sunday, at around 1:40 p.m., when the man got into his car, started the engine, and deliberately rammed it into a Fiat truck that was parked in the shade. The impact was so severe that it not only damaged the truck but also caused a chain reaction, colliding with another vehicle that was on the sidewalk and hitting a cyclist who happened to be passing by. Fortunately, the cyclist was unharmed.
As a result of the collision, the man’s vehicle also crashed into another car that was parked in front. The driver, the 80-year-old man, opened the door and fell back onto the street, suffering injuries in the process. He was subsequently taken to a medical center for treatment. The entire incident has left the community in shock, and it’s still unclear what exactly led the man to resort to such drastic measures.
